You have the choice of which default editor you use. This is set in your user profile in the contact info page.

The key areas to focus on are the features of the editing pane. This is how you can do your text formatting and applying styles. Custom styles can be added by the adminsitator should you need something different.

Styles – these are some which have been inherited from the old website. It is not recommended to use these as they may change as the site evolves.

Paragraph – this is a way of creating different header styles, H1, H2 ......etc

Including an image

If you are familiar with a location of an image or you have an external link to it you can use the  insert image button. Alternative to upload an image and insert it within the article use the Image button at the bottom edge of the text edit window

Tip

You can cut and paste your article in HTML, word or plain text format using the paste buttons at the bottom of the editing icons. Please note formatting and pictures might not be inserted depending upon how they are incorporated in to the original file.

The article window is approx 720pixels wide so you can format using tables or similar methods to ensure formatting is as you expect.

Remember -  it is difficult to break the site so don’t worry about experimenting but make sure you have a backup of your work just in case.
