Kyoshi Stuart Wilson 5th Dan

Sensei Stuart Wilson is married with 3 teenage children. He started training with Jun Shihan Roger  at the Hughenden Valley Dojo in 1985 and was his first adult student.

He took Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) promotion under Kaicho Nakamura during his very first visit to New York HQ (Honbu) in 1993 and Yondan (4th Dan) promotion during his  last visit in 2006. He has also trained with Seido Poland in Wadowice.

Stuart started the Tylers Green Dojo in Buckinghamshire near High Wycombe in 2001. The dojo  now has a programme for both children and adults, and more recently has started a programme for young people with physical impairments and learning difficulties at Alfriston School in Beaconsfield. Stuart also teaches in a variety of schools in South Bucks as part of their after school programmes.

Stuart has CRB clearance and First Aid certification and is the current Welfare Officer for the UK World Seido Karate Organisation. He is also a fitness trainer and sports massage therapist. Over the years he has attended many different courses to hone his skills and knowledge and entered many competitions, including full contact fighting, to test his spirit. He runs regularly and has put himself through the Grizzly Challenge, a 20 mile rough terrain race which really tests endurance and spirit.

He is natural instructor with a gift for putting students at their ease and bringing out the best in them and his many skills make him a hard taskmaster for those seeking to challenge themselves to the full.

Says Stuart, "It's strange to think that I was barely out of my teens when I started training with Seido Karate, but it has been part of my life for the last 25 years or so. I have made so many good friends and have so many vivid memories that I feel very lucky indeed.

I have been fortunate to have had the guidance of top instructors over this time- you just cannot underestimate the positive effect this has on so many people.

At our dojo in Tylers Green we aim to reinforce Kaicho's message " Technique before Strength, Spirit Before Technique" so that all our students, whatever their ability, have the framework to really grow and develop".

Training under Stuart's guidance successfully blends the old with the new.
